TTPP100: The First 9 Years of My Tax Career: Obsessed with Own Development

In this episode, I give you an insight into my 9-year tax career to date, starting as a Tax Graduate and recently becoming a Tax Director.

Over the years I’ve interviewed numerous tax professionals and we’ve gotten insights into their careers, but I’ve not shared my own – not in any detail anyway.

Now we are 100 episodes, I thought it’s about time that I share more about me and my career.

I’ve split the episode into 4 distinct chapters: my first tax job (straight after university, for an employment-taxes boutique); my second tax employer (Dains, where I stayed for 7 years, leaving as Employment Tax Senior Manager); the podcast & training I do (including why I started doing them); and finally, a brief bit about the start of my current chapter, as an Employment Tax Director for PKF Smith Cooper).
