TTPP47: An Insider’s Perspective into In-House Tax Roles with Dipti Thakrar

Is the only difference between an in-house tax role to working in accountancy firms “no timesheets”? It seems to be the go-to answer when talking about the pros of working in-house, but surely there’s more to it than that.

I was curious so spoke to Dipti to get an insider’s perspective.

Dipti worked for KPMG, before having her first in-house tax role in 2003, and since then, has had many in-house roles (along with 6 years at BPP).

For Dipti, working in-house is what she prefers, and her knowledge of working in-house is second to none. She clearly has a strong understanding of the tax industry more generally – as she also tutors, is Vice-chair of the London branch for Women in Tax, is Chair for the East Midlands’ CIOT branch, and chairs a forum for in-house transfer pricing practitioners.

Listen to find out the great insights that Dipti shared!
