TTPP76: Why and How to Take Control of Your Tax Career with Charlie Friend

This episode is all about how to take control of your tax career – so that you can take it to where you want, wherever that is. That may be towards becoming a partner, head of tax, or a job that has an excellent work-life balance with work that you enjoy. It’s completely up to you, but it starts with taking control.

And joining me in this episode is Charlie Friend, who has done such a good job of taking control of her career, and I respect how she has done it.

She became CTA qualified at 21, a Tax Manager at PwC at 24, and now she Vice President in JP Morgan’s in-house Corporation Tax team. All of this before she is 30!

In the episode, we discuss why it’s important to take control of your career, how you can do it, along with related advice, tips, information, and stories from our experiences, centring around taking control of your career and getting to where you want to be.
