TTPP46: 8 Tips on Providing Feedback to Grow and Develop Staff

I provide a lot of feedback to those I work with. I think it’s invaluable for growth and development – as it has been for me.

And until recently, my priority was to be constructive.

I thought I was being helpful.

But turned out to be an issue and detrimental in one case.

I wasn’t pointing out the positives as I was so focused on being constructive. That was a mistake.

So I decided to work on improving the way I provide feedback because I wanted to ensure my feedback is helpful and avoid a situation like this happening again.

In this episode, I share tips from what I’ve learnt and my experiences. Listen to the episode to hear them. If you’re someone who often provides feedback, I hope you take away some useful tips, and if you’re someone who shies away from providing constructive feedback, I hope it gives you confidence to provide it more!
