TTPP44: Experiences & Advice of 3 Successful Women in Tax with Emily Burnside, Adele Hickling and Jenny Au – International Women’s Day 2022 (IWD)

A few months back, I was speaking to Kate Rothwell, in-house Head of Tax at AO, who thought it would be good to do an episode for International Women’s Day.

I hadn’t even realised International Women’s Day was coming up, and when I thought about what topics we could cover, I realised that, outside of the obvious, I was naïve in relation to the challenges and issues women face in their tax careers – to the extent I went to Google for some help!

And if it wasn’t for my conversation with Emily, Adele and Jenny, I would still be fairly naïve.

Their experiences surprised me.

What I thought would be a big issue turns out not to be. And something that I didn’t realise was an issue is an issue.

The discussion has definitely given me great insight, and the advice shared by Emily, Adele and Jenny within this episode is great – for women and actually for men too to help tackle the issues.

Listen to this episode to find out more!
